Dr. Michael Khan will be installed as president and vice-chancellor of Saint Mary’s University on November 13, 2025, as special part of our Fall Convocation Ceremonies. A reception will follow to help celebrate the occasion and officially welcome Dr. Khan to the SMU community.
At Saint Mary’s 35th president, Dr. Khan brings a collaborative leadership style and commitment to student success, research, and community engagement. With a commitment to innovation and excellence, he consistently champions strategic growth while enhancing research productivity, forging industry and public sector partnerships, and expanding academic programming. Dr. Khan is a strong advocate for equity, diversity and inclusion, reflecting his belief in investing in and empowering people.
